Robert Stern
President

Dr. Stern is a graduate of Haverford College (BA in Philosophy, 1969) and the NYU College of Dentistry (1979).

Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Bob came from a family that spent much of its free time playing music or going on fishing and bird watching expeditions. After college, Bob moved to the forest – the Santa Cruz, California redwoods -- where he met his wife, Daphne.

Coming back East in 1976, the Sterns vacationed with friends at the Memory Motel and discovered the magic of Montauk for themselves. The Sterns bought a Leisurama in 2003. Three years later, Bob joined the CCOM board to do his part in protecting, promoting and preserving the unique relationship the Montauk community shares with the natural environment.

Now, privileged to be a full-time Montauk resident, Bob is honored to be the latest president of CCOM – an organization that has, for decades, successfully ensured that the stewardship of Montauk is conducted with the honor and regard our shared paradise deserves.
